INSIGHT HEART - The Human Heart Expedition is an innovative augmented reality app designed for medical education purposes. The app has received numerous accolades, including Platinum at the 2021 MUSE Creative Awards and the German Design Award Winner 2019 for Excellent Communications Design.

Our mission is to revolutionize medical education by creating visually stunning and highly interactive content based on real-life medical and scientific specifications. We strive to make learning fascinating, explorable, and fun for students, physicians, and accessible to patients anywhere and anytime.

With INSIGHT HEART, users can explore the human heart like never before. Using ARKit technology, the app allows users to easily scan their physical surroundings and place a three-dimensional heart without the need for predefined markers. A virtual assistant named ANI guides users through various states of the heart.

The app offers impressive visualizations of various heart conditions such as normal heart rate, myocardial infarction, arterial hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and heart failure. Users can also dive into detailed modes of diseases like coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, and heart failure.

This spatial application provides an immersive experience with integrated spacial sound that makes the heartbeat louder as users get closer to the virtual heart. Additionally, users can feel the heartbeat on their palm using haptic feedback on iPhone.

INSIGHT HEART also features a highly detailed model of the heart with a new blood flow simulation. Users can tap on spatial annotations to access dedicated information about each region of the heart from every angle.
